Kun thai-julkaisussa on splitin nimi heti etukannessa väärin (Stroming Thrash Vengeance), niin eihän sitä voi pitää muuna kuin laadun takeena! Yhteislevyllä räyhäävät, suunnilleen samoihin aikoihin perustetut bändit ovat jo suomalaisen ug-thrashin vanhoja konkareita. Wounds juhlii tänä vuonna kymmenvuotissynttäreitään, eikä Pyöveljeksiltäkään pyöreisiin enää paljoa puutu. Kyse on siis selkeästi juhlajulkaisusta!
Wounds aloittaa kurmotuksen Morbid Holocaust -albumin Storming Death -biisillä. Kappaleen psykedeelinen kitarasoolo jaksaa edelleen viehättää. Demoilta tutut Gas Mutations ja Murdering Reception edustavat sitä kovakuorisempaa, enemmän hc-sävyjä sisältävää Woundsia. Dirty Harry alias Harry Callahan alustaa niin ikään yhtyeen toiselta täyspitkältä löytyvän biisin Enforcing with Blast. Todellista nelinelosen magnumin veroista tuhoa tekee Woundsin osuuden päättävä ja ainoastaan yhden kerran aikaisemmin livenä esitetty lohkaisu Rot Until Reborn. Biisi eroaa niin radikaalisti Woundsin muusta materiaalista, että hetkisen jo luulin kuuntelevani Urn-lainaa.
Pyövelin äänimaailma on Woundsiin verrattuna tunkkaisempi, mutta mielestäni juuri tuo ummehtunut soundi tekee bändistä Suomen eteläamerikkalaisimman thrash-partion. Peräti viisi uutta raitaa, jotka kuulostavat niin vanhoilta, että vain vinyylilevyn rahina uupuu. T Metal N on virittänyt patteristonsa rototomien kalvot jopa Miasman budjettia tiukemmalle. Nyt nuo true-kannut kumisevat todella piukeasti, kuin ksylofoni helvetistä.
Itse kappaleet ovat perusvarmaa pyövelöintiä, eikä bändiä voi enää verrata mihinkään toiseen. Se on ehdottomasti löytänyt oman thrash-latunsa, jota sivakoi Thomas Wassbergin ja Juha Miedon tyylillä. Lisäksi oli hienoa kuulla T Metal N:n pystyvän aikaisempaa verratomampaan thrash-falsettiin kappaleessa Speed Metal Merchants. Storming Thrash Vengeance luo hetkellisen hymyn kareen jopa Dirty thrash-Harryn huulille.
